The National Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention
Program (NADAPP) in association with the Inter-American
Drug Abuse Control Commission CICAD are undertaking a
National Secondary School Survey.
The Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC/PAHO/WHO) has
been requested to function as the implementing agency for
this project, which will be housed and technically
managed within the Epidemiology Division of the
Centre.
Data was collected from secondary schools throughout
Trinidad and Tobago during the period November/December
2002.
The data which was gathered is presently being
processed from which a report would be compiled. This
report is to be used to facilitate the development of a
regional profile of the drug problem.
